Main Bath Transformation

Soft, subtle ocean greens and a white backdrop take this three piece bath to an updated sophisticated, spa like retreat. This bath started as a dated, 80's green and pink floral explosion! The warm wood of the custom cabinetry add an element of nature that will never go out of style.

Design of the Week...

This bathroom is a true testament of just how one unique element can change the entire look of the space. This black and white chevron tile is stunning and adds the perfect offset to the warm wood vanity and brass fixtures. Simplicity and pure elegance!

Industrial Loft Design

This Portland loft design has a brilliant mix of industrial and rustic elements. The cool white walls surrounded with sleek black trim and ceiling adds the perfect contrast to this loft. There is an open flow from room to room carrying warm wood tones, stainless steel and white furnishings.

This custom, over sized stainless barn door is a beautifully unique way to separate the living area and the bedroom with ease. The black hardware suites the space and adds a focal to the wall.

Warmth in Colour

Cool pallets such as grey, white and cool blues are very much on trend this year but we should not overlook warm colour combinations to incorporate into our interior design.

This modern kitchen design is a perfect example of adding a dose of coffee and cream with warm, stained cabinetry, creamy dining furniture pieces and oak and iron stools. The marble countertop and backsplash is used as a great way to balance the warm and cool tones throughout this kitchen.

Peach, coral and orange accents pop throughout this great room to create a stunning, warm colour combination. If you are afraid to pull the trigger and paint an entire room bright peach then choose a warm neutral, such as Benjamin Moore's Shaker Beige, and add accents of orange and coral in pillows  or a fabulous rug to achieve the same look!

Here are some of my favorite, go-to warm neutrals from Benjamin Moore!

DESIGN OF THE WEEK...

This stunning, eclectic foyer gives a sense of casual chic. A clear cascading glass console table with a large Chicago cityscape anchoring the space and surrounded by warm neutrals makes for an interesting foyer.

Industrial Loft

When describing the idea of a loft, the images that come to mind are large open spaces with exposed piping and large expansive window lines. Typically we see strictly man-made materials, concrete and clean lines.

This exquisite Barcelona loft crafted with innovation by Estudio Egue Y Seta, has all of these features but is able to make the space feel warm, inviting and grounded by using soft natural greenery and gives a whole new look to a modern loft.

The walls are clad with a wall oak wood with hints of exposed red brick which create a soft backdrop to the natural greenery. The sunken living room, with built-in bench seats, and large glass walls gives the sight lines from room to room an easy flow.

Eames plasic molded eiffel chairs add the modern element to the coppery toned, warm eat-in kitchen. This beautiful loft space was originally a toy store and has now been transformed into a functional, inviting home.
