Industrial Loft Design

This Portland loft design has a brilliant mix of industrial and rustic elements. The cool white walls surrounded with sleek black trim and ceiling adds the perfect contrast to this loft. There is an open flow from room to room carrying warm wood tones, stainless steel and white furnishings.

This custom, over sized stainless barn door is a beautifully unique way to separate the living area and the bedroom with ease. The black hardware suites the space and adds a focal to the wall.

Graphic Photo Walls

What better way to bring love into your home then to create a photo wall with images of your loved ones and favorite memories. The visual effect that multiple picture frames create when hung in a geometric pattern will create a statement, focal wall!

There is a trick to hanging your frames perfectly, without putting too many holes in your walls. First, lay out your frames on your floor in the ideal pattern that maximizes your wall space. Measure the center of your wall and start with the frame in the center and bottom of your pattern. Work your way out from the center and then move onto the next row.

By using different sized frames it creates a unique pattern. Remember, to create interest mix up the frame sizes and colours. Have fun with this project!

Black trim and cabinetry add a traditional feel to this
 home office space.
A Houzz poll showed that 74 percent of homeowners love black rooms, from a bathroom or a kitchen to trim and doors to exterior finishes. Pair this dark striking finish with crisp white accents and warm textures. Also, make sure you have an abundance amount of light in your space, whether it be natural or artificial so you do not create a cave!

Would you be daring enough to try this 2014 trend?
