Model Home Perfection

I was reviewing photos of my very first model home design and I was having a proud moment that I needed to share! When creating my own design firm, I never would have imagined the success I could achieved and the fulfillment creating beautiful spaces would give me!

This model home has been layered with texture and pattern to create an inviting feel for potential home owners. Being an open concept floor plan, the great room had to have an instant wow factor and this was achieved by the high impact kitchen design. With unique chrome pendants hung above the 8 foot rustic slate grey island and the contrasting painted white perimeter cabinets enhance the ever growing design trend of 2015, two toned kitchens.

Model Home - Village on the Grand

Village on the Grand, built by Kingwood Homes, features 95 luxury, two story town homes, with spectacular views of the Grand River, in the heart of Paris, Ontario. Fully designed, with every detail in  mind, I wanted to capture the essence of the nature that surrounds the home but also balance it out with highlights of contemporary finishes.

Creative Storage Solutions!

Keeping your home clean and tidy is never an easy task, especially when you have children...or a hubby in training!

KIDS EDITION

1. Clear Toy Bins

I don't think I have ever seen a children's play area this organized! The idea of tucking away all small toys in a custom built wall unit is brilliant. By using clear storage bins your children can see all of their favorite toys and it makes for an easy clean up!

2. Hanging Storage

Do your children love to craft? Giving them a designated space to be creative will save your walls from becoming their next canvas. Use a rod to hang baskets and bags to store their colouring utensils. Not only does it keep their supplies tidy but it makes it fun for them at the same time!

3. Stairway Bookcase

What little boy wouldn't love this space? I love the idea of using a typically wasted space under a staircase and creating a way to store books and other toys. A simple yet very efficient storage solution for any child!
