The Perfect Grey...

Grey is still very much trending and finding the perfect shade to match your existing decor can be a challenge. Grey is such a versatile neutral colour that it is now being called the new beige.  I have selected a few of my favorite shades that would look stunning in any room.

Revere Pewter, B.M.

Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore is a calming shade that would work perfectly if you are looking for a warm grey and aren't sure if you want to dive head first into the cool grey trend. This shade would be great to use as an overall color throughout an open concept living space.

Grey Owl, B.M.

To achieve a modern/ contemporary look in your kitchen or bath, use this perfect shade of grey on your cabinetry, instead of a classic creamy white. Grey Owl by Benjamin Moore is a light, cool shade that pairs beautifully with a marble tiled backsplash and white quartz countertop to complete the look.

Kendall Charcoal, B.M.

Have you been looking for the perfect grey to use as an accent colour? Kendall Charcoal, a dark milky, cool tone, creates just the pop that your room needs. Because it is a dark colour, I would pair it with a lighter, contrasting shade, such as Grey Owl and utilize a lot of white accessories (bedding, lamps, accent tables).

Sea Haze, B.M.

If you are looking to create a tranquil, soothing atmosphere, Sea Haze is the perfect calming shade to do it. This shade of grey adds a warm, serene tone to any space and would be a great choice for a bedroom or even a nursery.

Iron Mountain, B.M.

Iron Mountain is another stunning accent colour and is slightly darker and has a more concentrated hue compared to Kendall Charcoal and it is one of my personal favorites. I would recommend this colour as an accent or what I really love to do with a dark grey, such as Iron Mountain, is use it in a powder room or ensuite bath. To complete the look you will need a white or light grey vanity with chrome or stainless fixtures, a framed mirror and white accessories. Always add a pop of pattern into your space as well, in this case it could be monochromatic patterned towels or a beautiful chevron patterned shower curtain.

Whenever you are selecting any paint colour always make sure to look at the swatch in the space you are wanting to paint because the different light sources can affect the colour's appearance. To make 100 percent sure of your colour selection, go to your local paint store and invest in a sample can of the colours you are considering. Actually painting a small test square on your wall will give the true shade and help you decide which colour is right for you.
